The ancient Egyptian believed in multiple gods. These gods kept peace, some protected

the dead, and others offered protection. Below are god and goddess, Osiris and Isis.

Osiris is brother/husband of Isis and brother of god Seth and goddess Nepthys.

Osiris is also god of the underworld and the dead. Isis wasa protective goddess and used

powerful magic spells to help people. Since Horus resmbles thr pharoh and Isis was

Horus's mother, she was considered a very important goddess. There were many

In ancient times, Noblemen had shared a very different life compared to the common farmer.

The Noblemen had servants to help him shave and wash his face, while a farmer had

to wash his face and shave himself. Below is a woman's cosmetic box (bottom right) that

belonged to a nobleman's wife. A nobleman used fine linen clothing, but a farmer used

coarse linen clothes. The wives of the farmer and nobleman lived very different lives as well.

The wife of a nobleman had servants to dress her and she put makeup while as the farmers

wife dressed herslef and did not put makeup. The farmer's wife woke up earlier than the

Nobleman's wife to prepare meals for the family. The nobleman's wife had servants to
